Every year, I love rounding up the upcoming scary reads. Horror is one of my favorite genres, and YA horror 2019 looks like it’s going to be a banner year. Horror, of course, transcends genre. It’s a mood that can be applied to any genre, be it contemporary or science fiction, romance or fantasy. I’ve included on this a number of witch books, even though a handful don’t necessarily sound like horror in the sense many think of it. But witches make for great horror of all flavors, be it dark or light and fun.
Grab your TBR and prepare yourself for adding a ton of YA horror 2019 titles to it.
It’s possible I’ll miss some titles coming out, so feel free to drop any additional 2019 YA horror titles to this list from traditional publishers. I’ve used descriptions from Goodreads since, sadly, I’ve yet to read any of these. But you better believe I will be! Star beside a title indicates it is part of a series.

The VEXED: The Vexed are the truly fortunate ones—they survived the sting of the Singers, leaving them immune. But they’re far from safe. The Vexed hold the key to a cure, and there are those who will do anything to get it.
