I was on a glorious vacation last week and didn’t get around to collecting my writing at Book Riot, so this week’s roundup is a little longer (and later!) than usual:

• I can’t remember if I’ve linked up to the first episode of Hey YA: Extra Credit yet, but here’s my take on Norma Klein’s Domestic Arrangements. The second episode hit this week, and I can’t say I was particularly wild about Norma Klein’s Family Secrets.

 

• The last full-length episode of Hey YA was a super special one! I got to talk with YA legend Sarah Dessen for an hour about the growth of YA, about anxiety and Stephen King, as well as what it is that makes a “strong female character.” You don’t want to miss this one.
